Slip-on exhaust - ECU calibration

My Arrow is a Front 2-1(pipe on the right side) Rear 2-1(Pipe on the left side) exhaust setup .

@ArcticWhite, my Zard exhaust seems to be a 4-2-4-2 exhaust setup which I believe differs from the factory setup of 4-2-1-2. This made for Very difficult slipping of the aftermarket assembly onto the factory collectors as it was welded together. It does fit perfectly once it’s in place. Does your jester system decouple the front from rear exhausts as in a 4-2 setup or is there a cross pipe in there or is it setup like mine

guys that run arrow or any other brand slipons including Akra and Termi, same question how is it piped

they told me to wash my bike, I told them it’s going to get dirty again. 800 miles on the odometer, it’s running fantastically

should I remove the evap canister? The official DP Akra instructions call for its removal

thanks @Phl

Is it tough to remove?

Not at all, take off your left side lower fairing, you'll find it there. There's two hoses connected to it mark them before removing them, the one that goes into the smaller header (smaller circle on top of canister) is the vacuum line, remove it from canister and plug it. The other line you'll want to splice into the hose that is your gas tank over spill drain its easy enough. Your bike will thank you. It will start easier/better and people have had these canisters cause havoc. No upside to keeping it.

200.73hp on a hot humid day.
factory air filter, Zard slipon, stock ECU

Maybe another run next week with the sprint filter installed. This bike is a missile but it’s very obvious where it doesn’t pull as hard as it should. Very excited for a @vcyclenut tune!

Is it possible to have a 15/20+ wheel hp gain just by a slip on exhaust and no tuning? Sure this dyno is accurate? Or is this from the crank? I have seen a couple of stock v4 dyno around 180-185hp. Also the torque 88.01 is very very very high...

Attached my dyno graph with the Termignoni, a Akra exhaust and a decat stock exhaust.

No way! And thanks for sharing your graph. I’m not a Dyno expert but I wonder what the difference HP could be between 2 given dynos. Could I read 200 on one and 185 on another, @vcyclenut?

We observed: Sprint filter is +3hp compared to a clean OEM filter with stock exhaust... the slipon might be another 5hp?? I don’t even know if there will be any more power available once it’s tuned properly, but I want the tune to smooth out the flat spot around 6,k RPM

stock bike made 197hp with Sprint air filter and stock exhaust, back to back with mine maki 200hp with stock filter and Zard slipon before the 621 miles service

I need to go back to run it with the sprint filter now to compare numbers but I don’t want to make the trip till there’s tuning available which will be “soon”
but c19 soon is not soon at all

I love this exhaust, it allows the bike to pop real nice and is very deep sounding and not super loud

I didn’t want to rev it too much bc this was a cold start but I did give it a few little revs at the end of the vid. Turn ur subwoofer up if u want to experience it like it is

Nice deep sound indeed!!!

At the end of the day the Ducati v4 stock or tunes is hella fast haha !!!

Mine falls on its face right around 5,900 rpm. If it didn’t have that flat spot I’d say it’s running well but honestly it’s kinda annoying. Also my quick shifter loves to occasionally lock me out of gears up or down. it happened at least a dozen times on my last ride now it’s naked and ready for mods

Call me silly,

Can anyone give me a clue how to get the standard mufflers off, got the rear pipe easy enough but the front one just doesn’t want to come ou.

TIA!

Hey bud, tug tug tug.
I sprayed WD40 all in there which probably didn’t do a god damn thing. Then Dad and I pulled and tugged for 20+ minutes and it finally started coming loose.

now my new exhaust was also fixed in place, front and rear so it was like fitting the old exhaust back on. Slid the front in first and then pried (with my hands) against the rear header to move it enough to get it to pop on
Took about 3 hours for the entire job and I was being slow

What exhaust are u going to be fitting

Thanks mate, I’m the Dad so I’ll get my Son to give me a hand.

Ive got the modified standard one from Phil turning up during the week.

That’s sick. You might need a Heltech ESE (servo eliminator) to keep the light from tripping.

which loudness did you go for? Did u get him to black it out?

Not sure about the eliminator, I’ll see how it goes.

Ive got the Termi upmap coming.

Didnt know about the blacking out, I’ve got some exhaust paint from when I did my cars that I can use.

I went with the mid loudness, didn’t want to draw too much attention from you know who
