Its all a matter of degree, but on track practice beats theory every single time
Sure, you can’t beat practice, but you have to practice the right things.

One of the people who told me this supplies parts and another races. They could still be wrong of course, but keep your source to yourself, it’s fine.
Such a child. A small, teeny tiny child.
For track days, long and light is the way to go but as you get better this becomes shorter and harder. Avoid trail braking as much as possible. Get all the braking done while the bike is vertical Don’t forget about the rear brake.
Fancy trail braking is for racing IMO
Just reading this thread took 10 secs off my lap time!
It's in your manual, you dumb fücking nitwit.
You’ve stopped that ‘fancy trail braking’ then.
No brother, trail braking is absolutely a very good thing. It keeps the front wheel loaded and compresses the front forks which helps turn in stability and grip. The bike simply turns better and more safely with trail braking.
I’d impart some knowledge and experience over the 10+ years I’ve done track days but it’d be a waste of time.
in fact remove both master cylinders, switch gear, throttle housing and clip ons as a one and replace. the switches are the important things as they move the bikes loom inboard .
small potatoes given the cost of your bike.
until it doesnt
spider clip ons
BSD switch gear
brembo master cyls
jet prime throttle
oh and if you change the clip ons take off the std top yoke (particularly as its numbered) as that has a locating lug on it for the std clip ons and gets in the way of the aftermarket ones.
As much fun as it’s been learning what not to do from our little trackday hero, back to the master cylinder.
It’s interesting that they would put a 16mm piston master cylinder with 30mm piston brake calipers. I thought Brembo generally recommend 17mm for these brake callipers?
I’d guess a 17mm master cylinder would be a worthwhile upgrade, but then I’d be into changing switchgear as well.
