Tuneboy map feature for 1299 and Panigale R

Ordered tune boy last week. Can't wait to see the setup. For now just want cruise and get rid of the lean spots.

Just put mine in. Super simple. Only thing I had an issue with was when i first went to start the program and make it find the Tuneboy box( I forgot the name of all the boxes) where it wants to make a profile- It kept saying the box was found but the profile failed to create- took me awhile to figure out why and i ended up opening it as admin and that took care of it- Hope that helps anyone else that may have that issue. I'm sure its common.

I've got my service soon at Ducati dealer, I take it they wont like the tuneboy being on the ECU?
And I'll have to flash back to stock and take the wideband sensors/controllers off and put the stock sensors back in?

You can if you want. depends on how good your dealer is.

My dealer, I could bring in a s1krr and they still think it was a ducati.

I know on Subaru I have a re-flash done and I told them not to do any reflash unless they
had my permission, they were happy. They did give me the invalid warranty BS, but also they are car guys and understanding.

ok....about to attempt to flash in V6. My tuner tried it a couple months ago and it just flat out didn't work - the bike would start, then shut off. Had to reflash V5 to get things back to normal.

Now offering prayers to all gods that I don't brick my ECU.....

Would v6 be a different base tune than v5 or is it the same with launch control just added?
Asking because wondering if ok to use same trim files from v5 or do I need to tune it again?

I just mounted a akrapovic full system a few weeks ago. Should I do upmap first, then flash? Or will all just be removed? I'm thinking about the fault codes regarding the exhaust servo. I know it's hidden, but I still want it gone...

Leave the UPMAP off and untouched (you can't upload it anyway as I think it needs dealer software). When you flash Tuneboy in, select the appropriate Akra map and it'll unlock the UPMAP automatically. You then tune on top, should you want to.

FlashMitsubishi worked. But I forgot to load in my old trim file - the one representing hours of dyno time. I hope I can do this! I also flashed my Multistrada to V6, but the trim file that was there is gone. No big deal; it was a canned map. But that canned map sure worked really well!!

Plugged in, tried flashing, nothing worked, panicked, updated Innovate-thingy, flashed with full akra cruise+tune, worked like a charm! :D Got V6 with launch control working on my 1299 :)

launch control is working. it sounds like a string of firecrackers on Chinese New Year.

using the +/- switches to adjust speed while in cruise control is NOT working. Pressing either after starting up the bike causes a throttle blip, same as switching on cruise control by holding the start button for 3 seconds....except that the blip is instantaneous.

Some general information for those with Tuneboy who might be considering getting a custom tune and wondering if it's worth it. My bike was recently done, 1299 with full Akra and MWR filter.

UPMAP compared to custom tune, the lines were broadly similar up to 6.5k (although the tune was smoother), from there to the top end the bike made between 4-6hp more with the custom tune, again with a more linear curve.

A friend also had his bike tuned that week, the tuner applies an SAE correction to all the results. He just has the Akra slips. Comparatively the lines are similar to 5k, the full system outperforms the slips up to 7hp 5-7k, from 8k the slips outperformed the full system by around 3hp to top end.

I think this was similar to early 1199 results, full system made more mid range but the slips slightly more top end.

Same here, however I can adjust the speed with the menu up and down buttons. (I ticked in the flash mitsubishi program the up and down menu box in config option field).
The rocker + and - buttons like kismetcaptain says do not work even not in Race mode to change the cruise speed, Tuneboy claims on their website it works, maybe we have to tick the nudge button config option field in the flash program (maybe somebody could comment on that).
Their original function; changing DWC, DTC, EBC while pressing them a bit longer still works.

the launch control is nice and all, but what's REALLY important to me is to be able to switch cruise control on by pressing both + and - buttons at the same time, then to be able to use those buttons to nudge speed up or down.

Hmmm, what settings in tuneboy enable that?
I have to press and hold the starter button whilst riding to enable cruise, it's not the best!

Yes. It must of occurred to many people that those buttons, inactive in Sport and Rain mode, could be put to use for cruise control.

I haven't yet installed V6; just noticed the link up for the beta version. Gotta go get this done :)

But what about when you are in race mode? What do you do then?

I am running the V6 map. Just got an update and the launch control is fixed for the R. Other than that I haven't had any issues. I did get a custom tune which was critical since there is not a tune for the panigale R yet.

Is there options/finiched maps for the 1299s with akrapovich?

But how is launch control working? Is it always active or do you have to initiate it? Does it keep the front wheel down? Do you use the throttle in another way? Etc etc, dont know anything about how this works, hard to find info :/

EDIT: Ok, got a little more info after watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRSWHY3jNCk
but still would like to hear from u guys how it is to use.
