I agree I definitely lust after the 1299SL but I'm going to hold off for the V4SL and will most likely part with my Speciale when that day comes....
There will most probably never be built another V2 superbike that's more hardcore than the 1299SL.
I just hope that a V4 SL will be without the horrific wings from the R

But they did build it. It's the 1199 Superleggera.

Dry clutch is fine but I am hoping to get Italian design over function with it [emoji6]You can bet it will have them or whatever aero pieces they may upgrade. The machine will be most about the track than the street. Just as the R already is. So having said that, probably questionable esthetics will give in to functionality.
I too would probably jump on the V4SL when it comes. I would still also want to have the 1299SL as that is in my opinion the top package of a superbike V2 from Ducati. There will most probably never be built another V2 superbike that's more hardcore than the 1299SL.
My dream garage as of now is:
1. V4R but having the V4Speciale, it's not something I would roll over for. But as said before I would for the V4SL.
2. 1299SL
3. Last but certainly not least the Desmosedici RR

In other words, a must have [emoji57]The 1299SL is the only bike that I'd swap my 1299SA for, its the pinnacle of the V2s. In the past I've ordered the next Ducati superbike once it has hit the showroom but I've not even been to see a V4 yet. Must be getting old
The next super limited edition V4 ( ie along the lines of the SL or DR16RR) will be something epic though.
I really like the wings on the R, guess it's the squid in me. The SL should have the swingarm spoiler as well.
I have both. The 1299 Superleggera is still in different league.
IMHO the 1199 SL sounds better though and is a nicer design than the other two?I have both. The 1299 Superleggera is still in different league.
Yes but I was comparing my 1299 Anniversary to my Speciale not the 1299SL. I bought the Speciale because I already had the 1299SA and it didn't make sense to have two 1299's even know they are different.
When Ducati wins the motoGP championship will see a SL or MotoGP spec
Dovi needs to get his ass in gear then
