Another thing... I had a guy come up to me today on our Sunday ride. A S1000RR rider interested in buying a Panigale. He asked me, first question out of his mouth, "How many problems have you had??". Not "if I had any", but "How many" exactly.
I said none. Maybe its just an S1000RR thing I don't understand. It gets annoying.
They're used to problems with their BMW's.
So they think it's a natural progression that all bikes they covet/desire are potentially problematic like theirs.
Let's face it.
BMW's are riddled with problems.
Here's a list.
1, You've got to put air in the tyres.
2, You've got to know how to put air in the tyres.
3, You've got to know how much air to put in the tyres.
4, You've got to check the oil level.
5, You've got to know how to check the oil level.
6, You've got to know how much oil it takes from the low mark to fill it to the high mark.
7, You've got to know what oil to put into it.
8, You've got to know how to lube the chain.
9, You've got to know how to inspect the chain.
10, You've got to know how to periodically clean the chain.
11, You've got to know how to clean your BMW. (that's a big problem)
12, You've got to know how to read the owners manual.
13, You've got to be able to comprehend the owners manual.
14, You've got to know how to ride the bike.
15, You've got to wash/clean the bike competantly.
16, You've got to make yourself way too busy to do all the above. (what a joke)
17, You've got to know the number for BMW Roadside assist.
18, You've got to know how to dial the number for BMW Roadside assist.
19, It's advisable to understand the nature of the problem when BMW Roadside assist asks the question to help them to help you. ("I don't know, it doesn't go anymore" won't really cut it)

21, Your bike is boring as bat .... to ride
