Funny thing was I actually placed an order for a base no ABS in October/November. I decided that I want ABS and switched 2 weeks ago. They had a base + ABS unaccounted for that was coming this month so I jumped on it.

They sent me the VIN today too and the subject line was "You might be riding next weekend." :)

Has anyone in the North East received a call for a base model?

I see the good news some have started to receive their bikes but I have yet to hear of anyone in the NY, CT, PA, NJ area receiving a base.

The dealer in Seattle seems to be a bit above the rest though. Exchanged a few PM's with Dave last fall and he seems to be very involved and customer-friendly.

Dave no longer runs the Seattle shop. It's such a shame. But yes, him and his shop were awesome. The Base/ABS is actually from Bellevue Ducati which is a new shop. Amazing store and customer service. They go above and beyond. Very rider friendly. Brett who is the senior sales guy will treat you right.

Oh and for those in the Pacific Northwest, I'm first in line for a base non-abs at Ducati Seattle. They should be getting one around the same time too. If anyone wants it, feel free to take my spot as I'm picking up my base+ABS from Bellevue. Going to get back my deposit in about a weeks time. So someone can take the spot, or it can go to the next in line. Just shoot me a PM.

Wow. The base looks amazing! I'm super stoked. Dare I say better looking then the S forks. Can't wait until I get the call. Base + ABS.

I gotta fully agree. Base looks the slickest. Big fan of the all black wheels and matching front guard. This wait is rough...

I got a call for my dealer on 5/07/12 that the base models have been ship, at this point I don't know what to think of it; since, its as been seven business day and no VIN number has been provided... Damn it

I haven't heard any news about base reaching the EastCoast as of yet but hopefully someone will hear something by Fri that the bikes will be here by the following Wed or Thurs ... I believe it usually takes 5 to 6 days after shipment is confirmed.

JUST GOT THE CALL! It's been shipped and on its way. Dealer told me it (BASE/ABS) should be here in a week. AND I got a VIN! Boom suckas!
