Hi they have different diameter seals etc. I have installed but what do you think? I don’t want to compromise on the function of it for the sake of weight and looks. I’m no expert though.

Sorry Raul, but I can't comment either way until mine arrive, so I can have a feel (with my hand) on how it seal when I install it.

R1976
Mine is the OEM part number from an 1199 Superleggera. I am running it on a 1199S. It has never leaked or caused a problem. If you are concerned. Put it on the bike. Leave off what ever fairing covers it. Start bike up and let it get to normal operating temps and see what happens. If it keeps a seal then you are good to go.

So who has fitted this cap to a v4 and knows it will work? Thanks

Today is Painting Day for me :D
So last week, I clear coated my mirror polished rear suspension link, which I mess up because I was painting it at my backyard (lot of dust).
I use brake cleaner to wipe off the clear coat, do another mirror polishing step (make it even shinier), then I decide to paint it in "Anodized Red" Paint like the front sprocket washer...
Again not real anodized, just paint.

Here is the way I hang the part to be painted :p. Notice, I use heat gun to heat up the parts before painting.

And here are the pictures after painted anodized red (several layers), and later I also add few layers of clear coat :

IMG_8339.JPG

Then,... I decide to redo my front sprocket washer, because I only performed basic sand paper sanding and not mirror polishing when I painted it anodized red...
so again I use brake cleaner to remove the old anodized red paint (left picture).
But I forgot to take picture after I mirror polished it, ... so I only have picture after I paint it (right picture):

Then since my Left Rizoma Clutch Lever Protector finally arrived back from the painter with the "White DUCATI lettering" so it match the original Ducati by Rizoma Brake Lever Protector:
IMG_8346.JPG

I decided to start modifying the "eBay" based mounting spacer so it can fit the Rizoma handlebar weight mounting kit.
This require drilling the bolt hole from M6 to M8 then grinding the surface so it fit the 2 teeth from the Ducati by Rizoma handlebar weight mounting kit.
The Left Black color one is the original based mounting spacer from Rizoma, but I don't like the black color because it will not match the right side (Ducati by Rizoma brake lever protector which have a red anodized based).
That is why I bought this complete lever protector set from "eBay" just so I can use it's red anodized round spacer/base. The center silver tube is the Ducati by Rizoma handlebar weight mounting kit.
IMG_8342.JPG

Of course, since this is painting day, I decide to re paint that surface to cover the ugly grinding mark (even though no one can ever see it since that side will be facing the handlebar tube),... but why not? :p

Now, I will wait the paint really dry, by leaving them in my hot garage for a few weeks... but I need to cover them and... well create some homemade oven from cardboard hahaha :p

So here they are... all 3 of them inside an amazon box still hanging on a thread (except the rizoma round spacer, laying on the bottom of the box), second picture show how I hang them and then cover them...
will see them again in the next few weeks :D

Awesome. Howard can you advise me please on chain adjustment. I have seen in a service bulletin you are supposed to push the chain down and measure from the chain guard to when the chain does not go down further. This is on the bottom part of chain of course but in videos I see people push up. What are your thoughts?

They are almost the same Raul, as long as you had an establish starting position to where you measure the slack. or you can also measure from maximum distance from highest and lowest (depend on what the service manual advise in relation to the slack value they provided). Just follow what the Ducati service manual advise, they are the most accurate source for this bike. I haven't read the part for adjusting the chain on the Ducati service manual since I am still far away from installing my EK 3D Chain.

Not doing much this Sunday,
Only test fitting the multi joint reservoir bracket to better position the Ducati by Rizoma brake and clutch reservoir today.
Everything is good, and also took this opportunity to measure each bolts so I can replace them with ProTi bolts.
I will lower both of them a bit more by adding either 7.5 or 9mm spacer (ordered them today along with the ProTi bolts).
First pictures show the multi joint bracket, and second picture show the test fitting process which my younger son help me by holding the front fairing:
IMG_8349.JPGIMG_8367.JPG

Also, took the time today to install all the ProTi bolts for the rear swing arms, I had them for months, just wasn't planning to install them until I finish the rear suspension, however, I don't have too much to do now with all the parts still on the way so why not :D. Of course, I have not tighten them with torque wrench yet... some of them require loctite too, will do that when I am installing all the carbon mudguard, swing arm protector and chain guard.

Yap, I also change the bolts at the bottom of the swing arm...

Finally after my package were stuck at my local UPS hub (only 5 miles from my home) for 2 weeks,... UPS person deliver it to my door a few minutes ago.
UPS just don't have enough car and driver to deliver, that the UPS person delivering this package using his personal Honda Accord... :D

Here it is, the rear Brembo CNC Caliper in Hard Anodized Color :p:

Beautiful!
Very nice.

Thanks DucatiKev and Thanks Brad :D

I was undecided whether to use ProTi's Light Gold color or Titanium Silver Color for the rear caliper mounting bolts, the rear caliper own 2 bolts (the 2 bolts that hold the 2 halves of the caliper) and the Brake Pad Pin...
I also happened to have 2 sets of rear caliper ProTi rear caliper mounting bolts in both color so I test fit them:

and with the Hard Anodized Color of the Brembo Caliper, the ProTi with Titanium Silver Color looks better than the ProTi with Light Gold color, so Titanium Silver it is for the rest of the bolts listed above:

IMG_8384.JPG

Picture from the other side of the bike... please note that those stock rear Brembo rotor will be replace by BrakeTech rear rotor with custom anodized gold center carrier and red anodized bobbin. I can't wait to start the anodizing process... but still one more part to arrive before I can anodized it...
IMG_8385.JPGIMG_8386.JPG

Ok, now I will take out the bolts that hold the 2 halves of the caliper (to measure) and order their ProTi equivalent along with the center brake pad pin.

The strangest thing happened... but most likely due to lighting...
So when I took out the bolt that hold the 2 halves of the caliper (which is on the opposite side of the mounting bolt), the Light Gold Color actually looks better !!!, and I think the only logical explanation was I did not use a flash light and only use room lighting on this latest pictures. So now, Light Gold ProTi bolts is the winner :p

IMG_E8387.JPGIMG_E8388.JPG

I measured the bolts and they are M8x40mm with 13mm head diameter, and I will choose this part# ProTi Bolts M8L40-OTB01 in Light Gold Color x 2 pieces that hold the 2 halves of the Brembo Caliper (picture below)
M8L40_KYDFF01_G.jpg

But you can also choose this alternative Part# M8L40-OTB04 if you prefer it to looks like the original Brembo bolt:
M8L40_P01_G.jpg

For the Caliper Brake Pad Pins, I choose this one: ProTi B-PIN-P01 Brake Pad Pins for Brembo REAR Billet Caliper in Light Gold Color x 1 pieces
B_PIN_P01_G.jpg

But you can also use this alternative Part#B-PIN-02, picture below:

I also had been thinking on how to mount the ChaseBay "F" Brake Hose Distribution Block. That will split the single hose line from ABS to 2 separate Kevlar Braided Goodridge Hoses for the 2 front brake calipers.

Initially, I want to mount it just above the radiator at the same location where the original hard line become braided line, but that area is very hard to reach and it would be hard to tighten the AN hose connection there... so I keep getting back to the 2 extra M5 hole on the lower triple clamp... picture below:
IMG_8392.JPG

then EUREKA... I know the solution, 3D printed bracket by My Younger Son :D
So I brief My Younger Son on the design that I want and he printed a prototype. The left object is the bracket that will hold the ChaseBay "F" distribution block (on the right), while the center flat object is just the base to protect the finish of the lower triple clamp.
IMG_8391.JPG

This is how the bracket tightly held the ChaseBay "F" distribution block:
IMG_8394.JPGIMG_8393.JPG

And this is where it will be (well on top of those two light gold ProTi bolts of course:
IMG_8395.JPG

However, there will need to be some modification to this 3D printed bracket, first the hole for the bolts at 5mm is too tight for an M5 bolt, so next time we will print it in 6mm holes.
Second, we need to cut the "waist" area of the bracket wider to allow for the AN hose to screw into the "F" distribution block 2 ports.
Well, it's only a click on a keyboard and a few mouse move away :p

I will also ask My Younger Son to hand sanding the surface to make it smoother and pain them black then buy M5x35mm ProTi light gold bolts to secure it to the lower triple clamp and it will look AWESOME :D
(Don't forget the 3 set of Goodridge Kevlar Braided Line that goes to this ChaseBay "F" Distribution Block will have a nice sleeve in black with silver Goodridge lettering)

Oh, and that ChaseBay "F" Distribution Block... will also be GOLD ANODIZED ;)
