RedLine Under Tail Exhaust

Retail on the Redline is $3500.00 for the full titanium system. We got a break on pre-order which was great, but a roll of the dice too. Now that I'm seeing it, SUPERB. The only way to get a better system imho would be go the 10k and up route. Just beautiful.

It is beautiful.

Here is a Link to the instructions I was sent. I know some people like to see installation instructions when deciding on upgrades. Still cant wait to get home and see it it person. I have to go digging in my garage for my old stock headers to get the heat shields off the front header pipe since the Termi on the R did not use the stock one, but it looks like the Redline does

Now I'm really curious to know what you would do with platinum plated oranges.

I rode mine until I kicked a valve shim at around 170 and blew the motor. Prettiest RC8 R you ever did see [emoji23]

I’m liking it already! Excited to see that, more so to hear it!

Can’t wait to see it mounted. Hopefully no clearance issues with DP rearsets. Hope you don’t mind me sharing these pics on DesmoNW, our local Ducati club.

SAWEET!! Looks like we're not getting hoodwinked after all [emoji23] Well, not by Redline. It's a very odd feeling trying to decide what to do with the Akra cans. Such beautiful, trash. Why did they change the SL setup so drastically that Absolutely Nothing carries over?

Well I have my feelings, rooted in my 199 questions coming into my Ducati ownership. BUT! Seeing as the Akrapovic dropped a "service plug" and almost burned a lot more than an SAS can/lines/mount/fairing as mine and numerous others did...

Since they couldn't muster a simple "Damn we're sorry" over my melted Parts list because apparently safety wire is too high end for my little FE.... Instead contact me to say "We'll look into it". REALLY? Wow thanks, I was worried about other owners, bless them with this knowledge before more bikes are damaged or someone gets hurt? My crazy thinking at least.

No one was notified, other owners who suffered the same failure and even head techs from Ducati shops who did the work; they contacted me. I sought out everyone I could find and let them know; a few techs took it on themselves to talk to owners. But no way that got to everyone.

Since Akrapovic themselves troll my Instagram page, I'm going to publicly call them out again over breakfast.

I was so excited about the FE, huge part being these pipes. I still have the Parts book diagrams of the SL and FE exhaust systems; when they were identical. So why did they render every last bit absolutely useless? Why am I basically throwing away an item worth a fortune?

Why wasn't our safety worth securing the plug in the exhaust? Best of all is since it was over a month earlier this happened to other people...

Why wasn't I worth notifying? It makes me SICK. Oh yeah, and one of the two lines it's melting off is vapor/overflow from the fuel tank. No safety concern there though.

Sorry for the long quote but i had no idea this happened to you:mad: Pretty sickening to have to buy a new exhaust for such a new bike that already comes with a cool exhaust. Hopefully they see this and do whats right! Redline is looking amazing

Hi Temp Loctite would have done the trick too. I had a set of 6K pipes on my Bimota do the same only it was on the rear pipe and didnt melt anything . Like a blow torch !

Just want to mention, i'm not trying to hijack the thread , just showing the options . SPF are a small fabrication shop like Redline, but based in the UK. The owner races Ducati , also support and R&D with Moto Rapido and PBM in BSB.
These pipes installed in minutes, no massaging whatsoever. Full titanium and inconel headers (so no cracking), Redline look impressive too. The SPF would be more quiet and there is another option for 98db , ( cans are 400mm long though). Nice to have options outside the regular AKRO and TERMI .

Yeah, it would. If I bought a new bike, and started taking it apart to put it together right I suppose.

It really is, and no worries on the quote! Many think I'm an ..... for not knowing, complaining etc. Fact is I asked at length, weighing my options. Since I was getting exhaust and suspension to die for, which to me at 40k was feasible, hell yeah I thought.

I Love my bike, but hindsight being 20/20 I'd have bought an SL. I was also told at length there would be less than 1000 all told; now I present this little gem google just pissed out on my shoe [emoji1589][emoji1589]
