To be fair I hadn’t tracked yet, until you track a Superbike no matter how much you think you understand something about these bikes, you don’t.

And at least with the guys I go with there is no such thing as ‘cool factor’ of the bike, they honestly couldn’t give two ..... about the bikes….other than how’s your tires doing and tire pressures etc.

It’s all about the riders not the bikes.

BS, forget the bikes and the riders, it's the latte and the balls!

Was there much difference between the 20R and the 22R? I am definitely disappointed that the 23 seems like the same bike i have (20R), runs just as hot, but just costs more for a little bit more more power that you can't really use on track because the stock electronics are a hindrance.

They changed some geometry and some engine mapping to make it so us mortals can do faster lap times…but, other than a few more HP I don’t see anything that can’t be done with after market parts and a good tune.

I‘ve reached out to my dealer to see if he can get me one. It’s been a while since I’ve bought a new super bike. I’ll trade in my Speciale which is a 2018. I think the difference in the frame and losing the electronic suspension will be a good thing. I do like the idea of the larger displacement of the Speciale vs. The V4R but what the hell I don’t get to use 95% of her anyways. Lol

If there was some racing class where you had to run the bike bone stock from the factory, no mods of any kind whatsoever except maybe springs, AND you really wanted to win that class, the new V4R would be worth the upgrade, but with relatively few mods you can match it I think pretty easily with the 2020 or newer stuff.

Really just a linear lower rear shock link, some good suspension tuning, and an ecu tune.

It’s called Superstock

Even know we think we’re all over them it’s not always the case.

Im pretty sure this bike will have amazing sales with Ducati and Pecco looking to finally win the Moto GP championship after a decade.

Another 4 or 5 horsepower is not enough for me to buy one and ride it at track over what I have no. Other than that almost everything that’s new and upgraded on the new bike I already did in after market parts on my bike, so no reason to update.

I guy I garage with at the track has an HP4 RACE that he tracks that I got a real good look at, you can still pick them up with less than 1000 miles on them for about the same price as the 23 V4R and it’s a way better bike.

My next purchase, if there is one anytime soon, would definitely be an HP4 Race over the new V4R

I have a V4R, it IS VERY nice :)

The reason I'd choose the V4R over the HP4Race, is parts availability. I'm expecting to crash my bike, and, that carbon frame and Suter swing arm won't be easy to locate.
That said, you can see the difference between a £70k bike and a £35k bike when they're side by side.

Alpha Racing in Germany can get any parts you need for the HP4 Race, no problem.
