Magnesium Frame

I read another rumor suggesting a cast magnesium swingarm and a titanium frame will be used. Do you have any information regarding use of titanium for this model?

May be that is it-"faster then originally expected"....therefore I would like to retract my statement, and apologize to quack in particular, but also to anybody and everybody who's got offended by my insensitive post, to their families, friends, and everybody they've ever met.....

I think this is try for anything above the Base.....The nasty dip in HP output between 5.5-8K rpm from a full Termi system provides for a plausible argument that on the street the R has less power then the less expensive models, and the jump in acceleration is nothing more then the difference between 42t and 39t sprockets the bikes come equipped with. But who is going to admit they paid extra 7k for a paint job and a sprocket.....(Quack, let me know if I need to retract, and apologize for those remarks as well).

I think the R is an exceptional bike, and I salute to those who endured a lot of sacrifice in order to obtain one, good for you. There seem to be a better, more exclusive, and awe-inspiring bike just around the corner.. but so what? It doesn't make your bike any cheaper, at least not to you....

The full Termignoni exhaust actually increases mid range power by 15%. I am not sure where you got your numbers from, but they are inaccurate. And the R model comes with a 41 tooth rear sprocket, not 42.

It's all in the tuning my friend. The up map is merely a point in the right direction.

Well, I don't know enough to dispute your claim for 15% midrange gains, but I could swear I saw a side by side dyno where the top gains for the full system also showed a larger midrange dip in comparing to the slip-ons....and wasn't Kope messing around with his bike's exhaust trying to revive some of that midrange?

I'm guessing you have a base model..... Lol.. And yes mister you did hurt my feelings!!!!!

And honestly I'm going to laugh at you fools for blowing all this smoke and "nothing" is around the corner. And if there is something around the corner my excitement will welcome it and I will drool for it like I drooled for the R...... Personal preference but the base is a lot of bike but Aesthetically its not worth it to me... If you're getting a bike of this caliber go hard or go home I've had many Ducatis and always wanted a R.....

I am not doubting kope here but my dealer doesn't think that anything better than the R is due next year.. he is due to attend the NA dealer meeting in New Orleans so when he gets back I will see what he has to say. He has a pretty good idea of what's in store so I wouldn't doubt him.

I am getting my 2014 R tomorrow and IMpostis bike itself was a huge pinch on my pocket so the RR is just way out of my reach.. 85k to 90k (in dollars I mean) is just outrageous.. forget that.. even 30k is beyond reach for most.

Seriously man. It's one thing to be happy and excited about getting a new bike and a Panigale R at that, but in how many threads and how many times do you have to mention how you got a 2014 R and when you're going to be pickin it up? ..... We get it. You bought a 2014 R. Congrats. You've only mentioned it about 100 times so far. Almost all your posts mention this. You may put it to rest now. End rant.

This is the only reason you ever need ...it also sounds you know how to enjoy one, so with all sincerity, good for you for going big, Q.
I ride an S, canyons mostly, where I don't really get to push the bike over 9k rpm, making extra HP at the higher RPM pretty much useless, and with the suspension being the same I'm pretty sure I'm getting the same performance I would be getting from a R (minus 41t sprocket). I also ride in the land of Harleys and dirt bikes, so the awe factor of a Ducati superbike is also a wash.
But I have this strong feeling had I gone the Base rout and "went big" with just the suspension upgrade I would have enjoyed the same thrills, if not more.

The R is more than a paint job . Titanium rods adjustable swingarm standard with a full system .

R is a fantastic bike as are all the versions of the Panigale and Babigale.

The new Desmo replacement will sell regardless of price.

Totally understand you but see if I got a base by the time I would be done with it most likely I would have spent 36000 If not more in upgrades.... Just think termignoni alone let alone carbon..... I feel like if you're getting good an S and a full system a R is a no Brainer but this subject sounds oh too familiar from previous threads with people justifying there purchases..... If the new creme de La creme is a GP bike then understood but like I said I'm betting nothing special is coming!!!!

And the cost is going to be 80k for this one change?? I'd rather stay with my 2014 R in that case..

Your sack is going to shrink, you are going to feel cheap and dirty with your new 2014 1199 Panigale R when this new RR comes flying by you, ridden by a bigger dick, presumably with much deeper pockets....

Lmaooooooooooooooo. Made my ....... day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wilkson races.... Just recently crashed his but I'm sure it makes a difference to him
I know, was really bummed to see the picks, I was speaking in general terms, I don't believe all R owners do what Wilkson and Kope do....

I'm with you on the cost of making a R out of a Base, I just don't think I would have needed to go outside the suspension upgrade to
hooligan in the canyons with just a few track days.
