SPG, did you flash the 0206 Cruise program? I received the 0206 program from Hugepiece, flashed my Tri as usual, and everything works fine EXCEPT the DQS. I even went to the extent of disabling the DQS and reapplying it on the bikes menu, but no change (it is impossible to shift w/o the clutch on steady throttle). With the 0205 program it operated correctly, but I wanted the correct 0206 program values. Also, where did you go in the program to find the fan temp settings? As I will shortly be adding the full Termi header pipes to my slip ons, have you heard anything about how Wayne's full system trim program is working out? Thanks in advance for the help.

The most likely cause is that you have "Quickshift" checked in the Config Options under the Tools menu in the TuneBoyTrim program. This option is to be used with the strain gauge shifter type that is used for clutchless downshifting.

If you don't see the option, you need to use the newer version of the TuneBoyTrim available here: Download. Also, You do not have to save and flash the map when you change the options in that menu, they will be automatically applied if the ecu is connected.

lardawge, will I need to reflash the ECU to change the Quickshift if that is indeed what I have done, or is this one of those items you refer to that I just need to connect the program to the ECU to change? Thanks so much for your assistance.

A reflash is not required. Just uncheck the box marked "Quickshift".

lardawge, do I find this Quickshift check box function in the TuneEdit Ducati program, the TuneBoy trim, or the Flash Mitsubishi program, or is it residing in the Pani's ECU? Sorry to be so dense, but this is all new to me. I am far more comfortable changing carb jets.

Yes - the initial flash was from Hugepiece with the 0206 software. I found the DQS worked but it was bit bit on the harsh side for the road. The other 'CruiseAndTune' file downloaded from the TB website had the normal DQS settings. I'm not sure though if it is the 0205 or 0206 map though, does anyone know for sure or how you can check?

As Pouakai says fan temp settings just are, it's not something you can adjust, Wayne mentioned it a while back. I just let the bike tick over on the side stand to test it, worked fine.

Lardawge is correct that you can just adjust something in the trim program and it updates the ECU. I'm not quite sure though if changes made in this way are permenant or for the one key on cycle. Also if you return the bike to standard then when you reflash it you have to go back to TuneboyTrim and make sure everything is as it should be. Far easier to my mind to create a new file with all the settings you want.

Lardawge - under config options I have no way of adjusting the DQS settings. I downloaded the software just over a week ago, has it changed since then?

Emma emailed me a week ago, they dont know when the trim files for the various configurations will be available. I got the impression it could be a while. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has taken the bike to an independent tuning centre and how they got on.

The best way to check is to download the software I linked in my previous post and check the version number and config menu. I had a discussion with Wayne about naming the program files by appending the version number so it would be easier to identify newer version. I don't believe that will happen so the next easiest thing to do is manually check.

As far as the settings from the TuneBoyTrim being applied to the ecu without a reflash. The config options are permanently applied without a reflash. The trim file/any mapping adjustments are not. This can be easily checked by changing a setting, turning the bike off for 30 seconds, then back on and check the settings.

A conversation with Wayne indicated that a map for the termi slipons is a few weeks out. I think the biggest hold up is having bikes available to tune.

Sounds like all the tune boy issues are being worked out. I really thinking about buying the TUNE and Cruise package, What can I expect to pay for the tuning kit, and will it work with a apple mac book air? I haven't owned a window machine in quite awhile...
Also I see the package includes CD's Can I download all the software programs off the internet, I don't own the optical drive for CDs? My 1199 is all stock at the moment, i'm content with the stock exhaust with the servo cable disengaged, its plenty loud for me, I will however upgrade to the MWR filter when I have to change OEM filter out. Does the TUNEBOY trim map alot for high flow air filter?

It is about 546.53 USD with the current exchange rate and can be purchased here: Tuneboy

It is windows only but can be ran successfully in a vmware fusion windows VM... which is how I use to the software.

I believe you can download most of the software from tuneboy's website.

Your best bet for running a tune created for another bike is to use exactly the same setup. However, I am running the tune provided by Wayne with a MWR air filter and it is pretty amazing. My plan is to get a custom tune. The problem currently being that I need to find a tuner I trust and that is willing to learn new software.

Any update on the getting the quickshifter harshness issue worked out?

The "quickshifter harshness" is from one particular map that has been circulating around. It was a map that Wayne was purposefully speeding up the time the engine is cut to make the quickshifter work faster. I personally don't find it harsh but it depends on how hard on the gas you are when shifting. It did take getting used to. There is a map that does not have this adjustment applied that works a treat.

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it. I'm gonna do a little more research and Email tuneboy directly. The software sounds really promising, but new and a little unrefined at the moment, but I hate the lazy throttle response and crappy fueling and 5k and below, I commute mostly and riding around town and I spend a great deal of time on city streets and the low rpm fueling is redic

I use it on a Macbook Air with Virtual Box(free as in beer) / Win XP-SP2(runs much faster than any more recent SP or version - (starts in 12s on my Air))
both the WiFi and USB interfaces work fine.

That's my plan as well, its taken a while to find someone who has Tuneboy experience and has tuned the Panigale. Had a chat with Triumph Race Support earlier, they've tuned Panigale's with the Rapidbike module, they also have a fair bit of experience with Tuneboy on their race bikes. Depending on what Wayne comes out with I'll probably end up going to them in early October.

Where is everyone downloading the software from?

The link I used initially gave me the older 0205 software. Also the TuneboyTrim program I had wasn't the latest version. Is there a web page where the latest files are downloaded from, I can't find it on the Tuneboy website.

There is a link to the latest known TuneboyTrim in my above post. Other than that I think it requires an email to Wayne to get it.

same here but using macbook air running parallels and a win7 image.

Does anyone have the standard 0206 cruise and tune file for the EU? (not the one with the adjusted DQS settings).

All I can find is the standard bike with the 0206 file. I've asked/emailed TB several times with no response.
