RedLine Under Tail Exhaust

I use the tuneboy trim program to log and adjust. It uses a form of logworks from Innovate Motorsports. The tuneboy tunning/logging interface device is a modified Innovate OT-2.

she's basically done, i'm stalling as everyone is away for christmas, and there's no point in continuing yet. I want to build my rendition, of a sendoff for the mighty twin. So all the covers and bits of plastic, electronics trays and tail section lower trays and such... Are all coming in fullsix and carbonvani carbon. Swingarm guard and such too. And i'm changing every bolt in her to proti blue titanium, and it's all on the way after a little wait. The exhaust is absolutely beautiful, perfect fit and finish. Total build there's much more, but that lot is basically everything i do from this point for reassembly, so i wait. Bst, aem, moto corse and bitubo have big glorious things in store for her too. Has anyone heard anything about this updated heat shield? I'm not trying to do this install twice, so my bike is sitting incomplete until I receive the final parts.

Mid February last time I ask. About a week ago.

Has anyone successfully installed one of these on a Final Edition? I had to send mine back because it didn't fit. The front cylinder pipe ran too close to the cutout on the lower right fairing and melted it.

There were other fitment issues as well. One of the springs interferes with the rear brake pedal and the left tail pipe interferes with the shock reservoir.

I wish this thing was made to reuse the stock heat shield / tailpipe mount instead of the cheesy turnbuckles supplied.

Sound and performance were awesome but I couldn't get past the fitment issues. Not on a $40K bike.

Mine is on and having the same fairing fitment issues. No issue with the spring interfering with the rear brake or tailpipe & shock reservoir though. Probably going to trim the fairing a bit.

So I have had the same fitment issues that were mentioned throughout this thread. I contacted Redline a few times and after a couple of suggestions that did not help I got "Its a finicky system on a finicky bike unfortunately.".

If you go to there web site now they recently have added the wording
"Disclosure- This exhaust is designed for racing, not street use. We cannot guarantee proper function on street machines, additionally slight modification to fairings may be required in order to properly fit certain components"

and

"RACE USE ONLY - This exhaust does not meet emissions compliance requirements for street or highway use. Certain limitations on street legal motorcycles may limit the proper fitment of this exhaust system.

Returns Policy - We do not accept any returns on exhaust that has been ran or used. "

Which probably means everyone with stock reasets and bodywork has complained.

Again...I did have the fitment issues but I was able to get them livable. So just a heads up you will have to make it fit with some effort. It is not a true "bolt on" and go.

Yet to see a decent picture of this system in daylight or a video of it running on an end customers bike.

I'm waiting until I get this mysterious heat shield and new mount to the subframe before I put my fairings back on otherwise I'd be happy to take photos. I ran it briefly when I first got the cans on and it sounds great but now it's back in my office where I can work on it at night without freezing.

I'm not impressed with the way this has rolled out. The heavy discount for being an early adopter isn't the value I thought it would be. I would have otherwise been riding on the few warm weather days we've had lately.

Thanks for the heads up. Only asked as it seemed to have gone quiet after the early adopters fitted it to their bikes.

Where can I order one of these? How much?

Go through face book to Phil Smith, or Storm Performance Fabrications. You wont be disappointed, the fit is 100% perfect, the headers are inconel which is a step up from titanium and wont crack, Ive had two other bikes with titanium systems and both have cracked. I ran it without rapid bike for 2 days because I had loom issues, the bike ran perfectly no flat spots , but was risking it being lean with the std ECU. But this supports the design flow of the system. I havent run it on the dyno so cant put numbers up. I would be able to compare it to other bikes i have had on the same dyno.

If you contact Phil, tell him you were talking to the dude from Tasmania Australia. I dont get any kick back but he bent over backwards to get the system to me before an important race I had entered, so I would like to send business his way when I can. He has just started doing carbon in house to match the underbelly. I just used cheap fibreglass .

Im not impressed with how this rolled out either because the system itself looked really nice. Now im not defending the redline guys but you got the heavy discount to be sort of a guinea pig right? If thats the case then youve gotta expect some fitment issues no?

What i dont get is how a custom exhaust company would not have a test exhaust that was mocked up and fitted with any kinks worked out. I think i read they were new so that should give them more incentive to produce a perfect kit instead of selling the first round discounted to customer testers in hopes it worked out
