2023 V4R, anyone else disappointed?

That system isn't even available on the '23 V4 R.

Maybe not in the dealer parts catalog, but big boy rules being what they are, you can put on any exhaust you want. In that case, you'd have to sort out a tune, but the Ducati Akra tune has had the reputation for not being the best thing ever.

The EU4 bikes had a hideous under tail plastic shielded exhaust loop. The EU5 bikes improved on this as the size and shape is more like the V4R OEM system. It looks a lot better. I too think the OEM systems isn't that hard on the eyes.

It’s nuts that much cash but for me I know I can’t help myself and will have to add the full AKR before she even starts for the first time.
Super tempting for me as well!! But I'm probably going to ride it with the stock exhaust until the warranty ends. By then the tunes available and exhaust options will all have been put on bikes in circulation and any quirks worked out.
The big temptation for me here is keeping the factory warranty with this system and factory tune.
I'm looking to do small things first. Futurismoto block offs & tail tidy. Clutch cover (love the dry clutch sound). Etc.

On a side note. I opened the MyDucati app on my I phone and my V4R "ordered" is there! Small steps! LOL

The best thing you can do for your bike, is, at a minimum, fit a slip-on system. It will really liven the bike up and make it feel more energetic. The stock exhaust kills it.

surely you'll leave the stock exhaust and go for all the great improvements to be had with just a tune???

How does a slip on affect the factory warranty?
That for me is the key.

The akro exhausts don’t void the warranty at all. I just ordered a V4R myself and will be getting the underbelly akro installed. I have a 22’ V4S and love it so I’m looking forward to having the R as well

Yeah I also want to add the futurismoto tail tidy. Do you know if it fits the 2023 V4R? I also just opened my Ducati app after you said that and saw mine says that also lol

If you don’t mind me asking why are you keeping the V4S when you have the R on order? I’m trading in my Speciale for the R. I have a 1299SA and a V4 Street Fighter and I just dont need two bikes so similar. Running out of garage space. Lol

I may trade it in when the time comes, but the honest answer is I just like having options in the garage. If I keep both I would most likely wrap the s and go customize the aesthetics quite a bit.

Yeah I hear ya! I do love options lol

This is epic. After the 4

V4R I’m thinking of picking up a street fighter v2 or an m1000rr. It’s an addiction.

Yeah I have the V4S load up with BST rims and all sorts of goodies. She’s a beast but to be honest she’s better for the track. I just picked up a 2022 KTM Super Duke and traded in my 2015 and what a difference! So damn good on the street. The torque is intoxicating!

Checking his web site he has the V4 21+ for the tail tidy listed. I'm going to guess ($300+) LOL. That it is the same! Looming at the bikes it seems the front bodywork has seen the changes to improve cooling.
I'm on his wait list for the mirror block off's/turn signals. I will order both when those come in stock.

I may be mistaken but I just checked Ducati site. And the full Akra up high exhaust is listed. I thought the underbelly system was there previously?
8 Grand! Dam! That's mini moto/parking lot/fun bike.
But 45K for the R. So I guess all is relative and to each his own.
DAM I could spend that 8k on carbon wheels. And still have enough to go on vacation. LOL

LOL Yeah I hear you. I have a set of Marchesini Magneasum wheels for it now so I'm good there.

I’m going to reach out to my Ducati dealer and see if he thinks the tail on the 23 is the same as the 2021 & 2022.
