2023 V4R, anyone else disappointed?

+1 is the same as the pre 22 bike.
When I tried +1, I ran shock length of 318mm (but obviously fairly useless information without wheelbase or comparable ride height measurement).
I ran the forks flush, but had Mupo cartridges, which give a different fork length anyway.
I did about 3k miles with +1 swingarm position, never found a brilliant setting. When I went back to the -3, bike was so much nicer to ride, for my riding style. The bike, with +1, was incredible on the brakes and throttle, wouldn't corner well, and mid corner speed was low. Reminded me of the description of Dovi's GP bike.

-3 is lower, less swingarm angle, and less anti-squat?

All the pics I have seen of the R so far. Have been heavily loaded with the optional accessories.

But less swingarm angle and anti-squat?

As I said, I don't know whether the position goes up or down, relative to each other, so unsure of increase or decrease in angle. I'm sure someone can enlighten us though.
Same with 'anti-squat', it's not a term, or characteristic, that I use or can describe. I rode the -3 and the +1 back to back in Spain a few years ago, and the characteristics were as I described previously. I set each bike up, as best I could at the time. Front and rear ride heights were lower for the -3. The only other change I made, was I rotated the headstock cup 180⁰ for the +1, to try and help the bike turn, which it did. I've got the lap footage somewhere. And, as they used to say about the different settings, I was 0.75 quicker on the -3, but the bike was so much easier to ride (much less physical effort)

🤷‍♂️ I'm not sure what's lower, the chassis, or the swingarm.

Tbf, looks like the -3 gave greater throttle stability. Is that a consequence of greater antisquat?

Bear in mind, I'd ridden the +1 for a year, and the -3 for two sessions, so still improvements to be found. And, two seconds off my PB on the BMW there 🤦‍♂️

Great video Rick, thanks.
It seemed as though the -3 setup with better traction brought in the TC more than the +1. Was it because you were enjoying it more or the tyre was more worn?

Was a while ago! But potentially, I had more confidence, and was using more throttle. The tyre was the same tyre, one or two sessions older. It wasn't a Pirelli, so I don't think it would've dropped much.

2017 V4/V4S equivalent to +1
2019 V4R comes as -3
2022 V4/V4S equivalent to -3 (4mm change from previous, now the same as stock position of 2019 V4R)
2023 V4R comes as +1

Just, for clarity, in case anyone is struggling:

So don't believe what the up to date 2022/3 ducati factory videos and information say.....but watch your video instead from before the bike was ever released, where you are "interviewing" an idiot clueless sales person?

Plus you are talking about lowering the SA position when its actually raising the SA position ... to increase SA angle for all the benefits that gives.....and others are struggling????
