What strength fuel are you Americans running nowadays?
Europe is 95ron or 99ron for a super

yes offcourse they have a little room to play with.. but this is too much...way too much.
so im sorry but i do not believe this dynosheet.
it's the same as a 1198 with cans. haha
I don't see what you see. Look again at dyno results and HP builds steadily until about 8K then spikes upwards.
Does anyone know if USA bikes are the same as UK bikes? Just because the USA bikes are less doesn't mean the dyno is wrong. I really want to see how other bikes compare within Motorcyclist on their dyno.
Chris
not possible offcourse.
but seriously though.. 176 rwhp is more realistic to me then 158.. either their dyno is crap or they are making a prank
Sorry, what I meant was torque actually goes down from 4-6,000rpm in the dyno graph posted with the 1199 & 1198 figures.
I have heard that US bikes tend to have less power, not sure why.
You are right about the ethanol power issue, but don't forget that American gasoline is less refined than the European stuff. On the bright side, we are not paying close to $8 per gallon for the stuff...I can live with thatProbably the ethanol blend. It does not have as much energy as unblended unleaded. Thank you corn lobbyist...

It does appear as if the stock performance isn't as earth shattering as many of us had hoped. Claims of 195hp and lightest weight isn't producing the class leader we all thought Ducati produced......the numbers just aren't adding up.
I'm sure the street bikes will be fun to ride and be an absolute pleasure....but it's not appearing to be the "best" sportbike money can buy when other sportbikes are simply faster with measurable performance numbers that verify this.
Would like to see you attend DITR...DitR 2012+1
aber hallo!

We have riders from your neighborhood attending....they do have family here though. I'll bet that CO twisties are every bit as good or better than smokies twisties.I am in for a ducatis in the smokies, but the rockies are some 1763 miles in one direction...

Power is a big factor here in CO - when you start hitting 11,000 ft altitude you loose quite a bit of power. Good trade off for the spectacular views of snow covered mountains while you ride. I lived on the East coast for a number of years and CO is my favorite riding in the US.
I also lived in Europe for 3 years and the riding through the alps may be even better.
