my friend one question...

before I connected the Μelco, the display of oil appeared on my screen..I don't know what I did and now it shows me the indicator of Desmo service.....how can I change it even if it shows me the oil service...can to send my a video in my [email protected]
thank you....

I assume you're referring to your dash pad. Should the oil service indicator be present when the vehicle reaches the mileage for the desmo service, the desmo service indication prevails. The prescribed service intervals (for example) would show the desmo service at 15,000 miles, which would coincide with the second 7,500 mile oil change... and the oil would be changed as part of the desmo service. Might that be what has occurred with your bike, as opposed to believing that it's something that you've done? Regarding MelcoDiag... take a quick look at "Breaking It Down, The 1199 Files, MelcoDiag" on YouTube. It'll show you more screen shots than were provided with the post on this forum. If you have MelcoDiag up and running, just clear the service indicators on your dash pad.

I haven't reached the mileage for oil change, but when I connected melco, at the start screen I haven't ticked oil service. So maybe that's why I can't see it.
Can I reset it back through the software or not? And if yes how?

Well, I'm confused... you said that before connecting to MelcoDiag, you had the oil service indicator present on the dash pad. How long has that service indication been present? At 9100 km, the only scheduled oil change that you should have encountered would have been the initial break-in (600 miles/1000 km) oil change. You haven't reached the 7500 mile/12,000 km oil change interval yet. Prior to ever using MelcoDiag on your bike, was there an oil service indicator present, or is this something that occurred only after you started using the software? As for the "Main" tab in MelcoDiag, I'm not sure if checking, or not checking, the oil and/or desmo service boxes will make a difference with regards to what's displayed on your dash. According to that frame, the information is used when creating a report. Nevertheless, I suppose you can experiment with it and see if it makes any difference. Your best bet may be to contact JP and run a couple of questions by him. He sent you a license file so you should have his email address, or you communicate with him via his forum. If there's a hiccup in the software, it's best to bring it to his attention anyway. Another question... have any of the network nodes (dash pad, for example) ever been replaced on the vehicle?

the oil indicator went up all the time and reversed the Κm..that is, it showed me from the beginning how many kilometers it wants for the next change ...
that's how it was set for me the dealer...anyway...is not big problem...
I will go from the dealer and i show....
thank you my friend very much.....

Okay, I understand which indication you're referring to now. In any event, if you purposely, or inadvertently, clicked the service reset tab in MelcoDiag, it probably removed the "countdown to service" indication. I don't know if the dealer can reestablish that or not. Let us know how you make out.

so, responding to my Q above, I was able to run Windows 10 under parallels and get it to connect to a set of cables purchased from Lonelec (thanks for the lead on this Khmer1199). For peace of mind I did check all the pin outs in the adapter cable (they were fine). It took some fussing to get the com port to place nice (my Mac has the newer USB type c ports that takes a multifunction adapter that often chooses to not play nice with pheripherals) But once the comm port situation sorted out, the SW connected to the bike and copied over data. VIN number and milage looked correct. I've sent away for the license and presume that once I have that it should all work nice.

Need some help....
I have the cable now, was able to connect to the bike and read the VIN only, no miles or anything else. Requested a license. Licence came back in a few hours. Connect back up to the bike and still no changes, cant reset the oil service light. Any ideas??

After receiving the license and placing it in the same file folder as the software app, things all appear to work. Was able to reset a few error flags.

I completely shut down the app and restarted it after getting the license and placing it in the correct location. That seemed to get it working OK. I did notice that the "get licence" radio button was still there, which seemed odd to me.

I can still see the "Get License" button as well... that's okay. If you have it up and running then you're good to go.

Hello. I have a problem with the software or with the hardware. I tried to connect my 1199s to the computer but I cant get any data. I have 1.5v cable version of ELM 327, I find the port, I connect to the bike but no any information. Here is the debug file. Can you tell me where I wrong ?

Its looks to me that its one of the common issues with the ELM not getting the data from the bike back to the software. Did you make sure the ELM has the 232 chip? If it does not then thats your problem.
